After endless minutes of debate in my head, I decided to make an impression and start off with my wonderful experience at
The Point (Aquatic Drive, Albert Park Lake). I went to this restaurant late March where the weather was cold, but not cold enough to need a jacket... perfect. The Point is renowned for their steak, and therefore has two chef hat's rating from
The Age Good Food Guide.
This isn't a restaurant you would want to eat at regularly, but in terms of fine dining, this place is your best bet. The waiters were a bit snobby and pretentious, but I guess that is what you would expect from such a high class place. We ordered 1kg worth of steak which was merely $50 per person. The amazing taste as soon as you bit into the meat was well worth the wait. I would recommend it to meatlovers, people who enjoy a great view whilst eating, and those who are celebrating a big milestone or momentous occasion.
